DIY 8-bitMommy Laundry soap

Today I ran out of Laundry soap. Oh No! So I did what every mom does when they run out of laundry soap.. I decided to make my own.... wait what? That's not normal you say? Ah well.. Here's the ingredients used.\

1 box of Arm and hammer Super washing soda $4.79
2 cups of arm and hammer baking soda $2.29 a box
3 bars of 365 chamomile soap $1.99 each
 2 boxes of Oxiclean 7.99
 1 box Borax 4.99
 2 cups Epsom Salt $4.97 a bag
20 drops of Peppermint essential oil 7.99 for bottle
1 bar of soap in my Vita mix blender
I chopped up the soap into little cubes and placed 1 cup of oxiclean into my Vita mix blender. I probably didn't need to add the Oxiclean, but I thought it might help chop the soap.
Voila! I very love my blender. Turned my soap chunks into a fine powder :) mixed all the ingredients together and ended up with a 20 pound batch of laundry soap! We only use 2 Tablespoons per load, and we do roughly 1 load of laundry a day.
sorry it's not a very good picture.. but it's a 40 pound kitty litter box filled a little more than halfway with my nummy smelling detergent! :)
